About

The Team

The people behind Spin for SIM™ — from its creator and contributors to the steering group shaping its future.

Created & Developed By

Dr Lucy Whitton
Dr Lucy Whitton
Founder & Creator of Spin for SIM™ · Elected Member, AoA Residents Committee

Lucy's interest in simulation and education runs in the family — her father a pilot and safety-and-simulation trainer, her mother a teacher. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education, has taken on multiple formal educational and simulation roles, and has received national recognition for her educational work. Finding it hard to achieve truly collaborative, multidisciplinary simulation in maternity care, she created Spin for SIM™ on a delivery suite — designing, producing and formatting it to make high-quality MDT training accessible, frequent and part of everyday clinical practice.

Spin for SIM™ Steering Group

The Spin for SIM™ steering group brings together anaesthetic, education and quality-improvement expertise to guide the programme's development and its wider roll-out.
